37 ¼” overall, 21 ½” round .577 barrel with 5 grooves and blade foresight. Enfield Military Proofs and stamped ‘Steel’, ladder rear sight graduated to 600 yards, with leather sight protector Snider locking lifting breech with ‘WD’ and inspectors marks. Flat lockplate with crown VR dated 1870 Enfield with inspectors marks. Walnut half stock. Brass butt plate stamped ‘R9C32’ and with trapdoor with two piece ramrod. Single sling swivel behind trigger guard. Barrel retained with single Badersley barrel band.

The Mark 111 Snider Carbine for Cavalry was all new rather than a conversion. Quite a rare gun in good condition with very good bore, stock with dinks and dents commensurate with age and use.
