13” overall, 6 ½” round barrel with flat rib. Blued frame with single action, blued trigger guard and walnut grips. Six shot fluted 1 7/16th inch cylinder, locking notches to the rear with simultaneous ejection mechanism when the barrel is broken, with locking latch to the top rear of the frame. The rib is engraved with ‘SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A.’ with two line patent dates.
In very good condition with 90%+ blue remaining, very good bore and mechanics .
No. 255 of 2621 made from 1887 to 1912 this example circa 1890.
