A Fine Scottish Steel & Silver Scroll Butt Flintlock Pistol by Alex Campbell of Doune. 13” overall, 8” fluted engraved three stage barrel, reeded at the breech with octagonal swamped muzzle. Steel stock of traditional form engraved overall with Celtic scrolls & silver inlay, the scroll engraved flintlock signed ‘Alex Campbell Duni fecit’. Swan neck cock, facetted steel, & pan. Three silver bands underneath, overall silver inlayed scrolling Celtic patterns silver ball trigger & pricker. Ramrod with pierced baluster, silver escutcheons on both sides. Belt hook with pierced & engraved tang.

In good condition, well engraved with extensive silver inlay.
