A Fine Sabre by Brunn with a Tulwar Trophy Blade.

35” overall, 30 ½” sharply curved multi fullered clipped back blade, probably of watered steel. Gilt brass stirrup hilt with domed pommel and wire bound fish skin grip. Contained in its original  gilt brass mounted leather scabbard, the upper mount with maker's tablet ‘S .Brunn Sword Cutler His Royal Highness the Price of Wales 55 Charring Cross London’ with two ornate ring attachments.

Sword blade, hilt and scabbard all in very good condition.  

Samuel Brunn one London’s best sword cutlers was well known for remounting Indian trophy sword blades, he traded at 55 Charing Cross from 1798 to 1804, and 56 Charing Cross circa 1803-19.
