A Rare Royal Highland Regiment Scottish Flintlock Pistol by Isaac Bissell. 13 ¼” overall, 8” round tapering barrel decorated with five pairs of incised lines & ordnance proofs over the breech. Flat lock of Highland type faintly signed ‘Bissell’, action with horizontal sear, bridleless pan, swan neck cock, frizzen spring with spear pointed tip. Steel full stock of regulation Highland form, engraved ‘C7’ over ‘189’ on top of the scroll butt, fitted with a baluster pricker, screw fastened long iron belt hook & exposed ball type trigger, thin steel ramrod.

Circa 1775-90

In good condition with some old rust staining. Top jaw screw an old replacement.
