
A Fine Pipe Back 1796 Staff Officers Sword. 39” overall, 34 ¼” blade, pipe backed with spear point etched ‘Gill’s Warranted’ . Gilt D shaped knuckle bow with elongated pommel, fish skin grip with gilt twisted wire. In its leather and gilt brass scabbard, top mount engraved ‘Cullum Sword Cutler to His Majesty Charring Cross London’.
Circa 1797
A fine and rare sword in good condition. Most polish to blade and nearly all gilt remaining.
