A Rare Percussion Widlfowling Gun by W & J Rigby. 64” overall, 47 ½” round 5 bore Damascus barrel signed ‘W & J RIGBY DUBLIN’  at the breech, platinum lined and vented breech fitted with rear leaf sights, border & scroll engraved signed back action lock. Half stocked with border & scroll engraved brass mounts, the trigger guard tang with the serial no. 8867, brass tipped wooden ramrod.

The serial no.8867 shows the gun as having been completed in 1842 for W. Symes at a cost of eight pounds and eight shillings. Rare gun only 6  5 bore duck guns made between 1830-50.

In good condition barrel rebrowned, some pitting on hammer.
