8 ½” overall, 3” barrel block, 120 bore, double action. Dolphin head hammer, scroll engraved action with large nipple shield, engraved with ‘Osbourn & Jackson’ in a ribbon on left hand side, sliding top safety. Finely chequered bag shaped fluted butt with a butt trap.
Circa 1840-5.
An uncommon early pepperbox, in good condition with some finish but action a little cranky.
