14” overall, 8” browned twist part octagonal 18 bore barrels, the upper one with gold line at the breech, London proofs, foliate scroll engraved tang with back sight, signed ‘W.Jones’, border engraved detented bevelled locks & dolphin hammers, all decorated with foliate scroll work at the time of conversion. Engraved safety catches, figured finely chequered rounded butt, blued trigger guard decorated with a Britannia shield centred on foliage on the border engraved bow, silver escutcheon, stirrup ramrod,.

Circa 1810

A best London quality pistol in good condition, very neatly converted from flintlock with some original finish. W. Jones is, I am sure, the converter of the pistol, not the original maker, the original maker may well have been Durs Egg.
