An Officers 1796 Light Cavalry Sword. 40 ½” overall, 36” curved fullered blade with engraved ‘Gills Warranted’. Regulation stirrup shaped hilt with ribbed leather covered grip with small ears & triple twisted steel wire. In its original iron scabbard with two suspension rings,

Circa 1800.
