26” overall, 21” slightly curved narrow blade stamped on both sides with a King’s Head mark, Brass ‘D’ shaped knucklebow & crossguard with cushion shaped pommel & ferrule engraved with strawberry leaves, top of pommel also engraved with strawberry leaves. Stag horn antler grip, down turned shell shaped guard with fouled anchor surrounded by a coil of rope.
Circa 1690-1720.
Very rare early Naval hanger in good condition, Kings Head/Green Man mark often found on German made blades, but also used by some London makers.
