A Muff Flintlock Boxlock Pocket Pistol by Durs Egg. 4 ½” overall 1 1/8” 90 bore round turn-off barrel engraved with a foliate band at the rear and numbered ‘1’ at the lug, rounded breech numbered to correspond, signed ‘D. Egg’ beneath the rectangular pan and engraved with characteristic branch on each side, border engraved screwless action finely decorated with a differing trophy above a line of guilloche on both sides, thumb piece safety catch also locking the steel, ring neck cock with a serpent engraved on each side, folding trigger within a garland, figured flat sided butt.
Very attractive muff pistol of the smallest size, in very good condition.
