A Rare London Hartford Cased Colt 1860 Army Revolver. 14 ¼” overall, 8” barrel the top flat marked ‘Address Col. Saml Colt New-York U.S. America’, London proofs, the left side of the frame marked ‘Colts Patent’. The cylinder engraved with naval battle scene & marked ‘Colts Patent No 6678’ & London proofs alternating between each nipple recess. The matching serial number ‘156678’ marked on the barrel, frame, trigger guard & back strap, the partial serial number ‘6678’ is marked on the cylinder & the wedge. Steel trigger guard & back strap. Smooth one piece varnished walnut grip. In its original oak green baize lined London case, containing a Dixon powder flask, oil bottle, cleaning rod, Colts patent iron bullet mould marked ‘Colts Patent’ and 44 H, turnscrew, Eley cap tin & key.
