A 1788 Light Cavalry Troopers Sword. 40 ½” overall with a 35 ½” slightly curved blade with a broad fuller to tip. Engraved to one side ‘Gills Warranted’. D-shaped knuckle bow with double langets. Flat pommel, cord wound grip with ray skin covering. In its original sheet iron scabbard with two suspension rings.
Sword blade and hilt in very good condition, scabbard with some dents.
