33” overall, 29” highly curved blade blue & gilt for half its length, with a Crown over a harp, floral trophies & ‘J.& N. Nicholson Cork’ in a medallion to one side and trophies of arms and ‘warranted’ in a ribbon on the other. Gilt brass stirrup hilt with twisted gilt wire. In it brass scabbard with two suspension rings signed ‘Read 4 Parliament Sq.’ Circa 1797
Sword in rubbed condition, hilt cracked, scabbard quite good.
