39” overall, 32” hollow ground plain polished blade. Russet steel and gold inlaid hilt comprising double shell guard inlaid with Gold trellis and studs, downturned quillon with bell flowers and trellis inlay, quillon-block, knuckleguard and pommel all en suite with the shell guard. Grip bound with silver ribbons inlaid with gold studs and twisted silver wire terminals.
Circa 1750.
An exquisitely fine sword in very good condition, blade highly polished.
