37” overall, 31 ½” slender blade of hollow triangular section, etched with a panel of foliated strapwork on each side, the forte etched with strapwork framing a putti burning a heart on a stove above the inscription 'Ses Chastes Liens d'amour' Steel downturned quillons with lobed terminals, with facetted side ring & faceted urn pommel with steel wire grip. Lacks scabbard.
Circa 1650
Elegant early small sword in good condition, point reshaped .
