44 ¾” overall, 38” straight multi fullered blade with chisel point. Blade with inspector’s poincon of J. Pache (December 1808 to June 1811) back edge engraved ‘M-F’ture Imp du Klingenthal Coulaux Freres’. Four bar brass hilt with brass pommel with V stamp, original leather with 12 turns of brass wire, stamped ‘Versailles’ with other unidentified stamps. In its original brass and leather scabbard, with brass and steel tipped drag with poincons of J. Cazamajou, top mount with inspectors marks, with two suspension rings.
Circa 1808-1811.
A rare sword in good condition, scabbard leather still stiff.
