A French Field Officers Sword. 35” overall, 30” curved blade with one broad fuller, engraved on both sides with Military trophies. Brass hilt with double langets, ‘D’ shaped chamfered knuckle bow, canted fluted pommel, chequered ebony grip. In its original black leather & brass mounted scabbard with twin hanging rings.
Circa 1807-15.
Uncommon sword in quite good condition, blade engraving rubbed.
