33” overall, 28” straight blade with two fullers stamped with inspector’s marks ‘G’ & ‘B’ under stars. Coulaux & Cie a Klingenthal engraved on the back edge. Single shell guard pierced with foliage and naval motifs, domed pommel and shell decorated back strap. Black horn grip with twisted gilt brass wire. In its original brass and black leather scabbard with an anchor on the locket.
Circa 1840
