A Scarce French 1786 Hussar Officer’s Sabre. 40” overall, 34 ¾” broad curved blade with one narrow & one broad fuller, engraved on both sides with Hussars, Turks head and mythical symbols. Brass hilt with ‘D’ shaped chamfered knuckle bow, flat pommel, double bar langets, ribbed wooden grip. In its original brass scabbard with twin hanging rings & steel chape shoe.
