5” overall, 1 1/8” ring turned 100 bore cannon barrel, Birmingham view and proof marks. Finely engraved box lock action, signed ‘Verncomb Bristol’. Ring necked cock with sliding safety trigger guard on a very fine silver inlaid walnut grip with silver grotesque mask butt cap.

Hugh Verncomb of 21 Clare Street Bristol from about 1720- to1770, was something of a specialist maker of small pistols with silver wire inlay.
