The original Arle Lodge adjacent to Arle Court was an Elizabethan building part of the Manor of Regrove, this was demolished and replaced with a new Arle Court built between 1854-1858 for Thomas Walter Packer Butt. The Welch family were Lords of the Manor of Regrove from about 1600 until it’s sale in 1854. Worthy of further research.
