7 ½” overall, 3” sighted 20 bore octagonal barrels engraved ‘LONDON’ along the top flats and inlet with single gold lines. Finely engraved tangs incorporating standing rear-sights, Birmingham Proofs, stepped, bevelled locks finely engraved with scrolling foliage and signed ‘Mortimer & Son’, fitted with sliding safety, cocks decorated en-suite. Full stocked in walnut, cut with chequering at the grips and fitted with vacant oval escutcheons. In their original baize lined oak case, with coffin shaped powder flask, bullet mould & cleaning rod, the interior of the lid with later ‘D. Egg’ label, the exterior fitted with flush carrying handle.

Unusually small, attractive pistols. In good condition, some original finish to locks & trigger guards, barrels rebrowned.
Gunmakers sometimes added their own labels to cases having repaired them or sold them as second hand.
