39” overall, 25” three stage barrel, 12 bore, flared at the muzzle, octagonal over the breech, struck with London Proofs and barrelsmith’s mark. Fitted with a flat Littlecote Type five English lock retained by three side nails, full bodied cock with dog catch & facetted frizzen pan. Original paddle shaped hand rail butt, full stocked with large flat iron trigger guard with pointed finial, small thin steel ramrod pipe & ramrod.
Circa 1650. An unrecorded Civil War Carbine in very good condition for age, lock is completely original, stock has been reshaped at the wrist in its working life, fore end with some restoration. Later ramrod.
