A Dutch English Civil War Wheellock Pistol. 24” overall, 15½” two stage octagonal to round 32 bore barrel, lock with an external wheel, sliding pan cover, flat lock plate with chamfered edges with triangular end. Angular dog, sprung curved trigger retained by two side nails, walnut full stock with iron butt cap. Iron furniture comprising long trigger guard and one ramrod pipe, possibly original ramrod with iron tip.
Circa 1645.
