13" overall, 5 ¾” octagonal blued steel sighted barrel with 3 groove rifling. London proof marks to left hand side, top engraved 'London Armoury’, blued steel solid engraved frame, engraved to right hand side ‘B9288’ and 'Adams Patent No 24959R' & stamped ‘LAC’. Sliding safety catch, left hand side with Kerr Patent rammer No 12582 . 5 shot cylinder with London Proofs, cylinder also numbered 24959R. London proof marks between nipples, blued steel trigger guard, finely chequered walnut butt with butt plate. Contained in its original green baize lined oak screwed case with all accessories, comprising James Dixon flask, Adams bullet mould, oil bottle, loading rod with jag and a pair of turnscrews and nipple key, an Eley for Adams bag of caps and a tin with spare nipples and 16 Eley Skin cartridges. Comes with old typed letter regarding the history of Adams revolvers. Circa 1858-60
Very good condition, 95%+ original finish, losses to finish around muzzle, keyhole plate is missing. London Armoury marked examples of Beaumont Adams are very rare, The London Armoury did not use a trade label in their cases.
