27 ½” overall, 23” straight blade sharpened on the back edge, signed ‘Osborn & Gunby’ with crown over ‘19’ inspector’s mark. Moulded brass grip with D shaped guard.
Circa 1815.
Good condition.
Second Pattern Baker Bayonet designed by Osborn in December 1800 when he supplied 2149 between 1801 and 1807.The partnership of Osborn & Gunby Co, only made 66 examples in 1815.
