30" overall. 14 ½” iron bell mouthed barrel stamped 'H.W.Mortimer London' on top flat. Stepped chamfered lock plate engraved 'H.W.Mortimer' with swan neck cock & safety catch, spoon shaped pan. Brass mounts comprising engraved butt cap, engraved trigger guard with shell finial & S shaped engraved side plate. Figured walnut full stock & horn tipped ramrod with worm.

Harvey Walklate Mortimer (1753-1819) was appointed Gunmaker to George III in 1783. He was at 89 Fleet Street between 1782 and 1799 and was Contractor to the East India Company from 1796 until 1806.
