A pair of rare Flintlock side action Travelling Pistols by H.W.Mortimer & Co.

6 ¾” overall, 1 ¾” turn-off barrels numbered '1' and '2' beneath and struck with London view and proof marks, rounded breeches signed in full ‘ H.W.Mortimer & Co London Gun Maker to His Majesty’ on a long curling scroll carried by trophies-of-arms, finely engraved tangs decorated with conventional foliage, rounded side-action locks fitted with border-engraved cocks , semi-rainproof pans, rollers, bolt safety-catches, and folding triggers , and highly figured finely chequered butts with characteristic spirally carved pommels.
Very fine pocket pistols ,in good condition ,one with minor pitting to rear of the barrel.
