42" overall, 26” heavy octagonal barrel with 7 groove rifling in 30 bore. Adjustable blade foresight, 2 leaf rear sight signed on the top flat “J Christoph Kuchenreiter”. With patent breech and platinum vent, tang engraved with scrolling acanthus leaves. Flat side lock engraved with scrolling acanthus and signed 'Joseph Egg'. Flat hammer with dolphin head engraved en suite. Walnut half stock with rifle cheek piece and flat bottom edge, trigger guard scroll engraved, retaining some finish, ebony brass tipped ramrod.

A very fine rifle with a Grand Tour souvenir barrel. Very good rifling with approximately 1 ½ turns, gun retaining quite a lot of its original finish
