A Good Scottish Basket Hilt Back sword (Claidhearnh Cuil). 32” single edged blade with fuller running for 30” stamped within groove “Andria Farara” to either side, hilt of round bars & pierced panels and S shaped side bars, knopped segmented dome shaped pommel. Original grip which has it’s original leather but lost it’s wire binding. Red cloth liner. With it’s original leather tooled scabbard with iron mounts
In good condition for age, no breaks to hammer, welded basket. It is very rare to find a sword of this age with its scabbard.
