33" barrel with Ordnance proofs and inspection marks ,three groove rifled barrel with ladder rear sight graduated to 1100 yards Border engraved pattern 1856 lock with a Crown to the tail is engraved 1859 TOWER. Walnut stock with regulation pattern iron furniture including correct pattern original ramrod.
Made to the exact pattern of the army issue pattern 1856 rifle for sale to a gentleman volunteer or a target shooter of the time this rifle has passed through ordnance hands at some time during its working life and so has been military inspected / proof tested at the time.

In very good condition with a good bore and mechanics. Nice sharp stock with much finish to the metal work turning to blue brown with age.
