14” overall. 8” swamped brass barrel, signed within a border ‘HEYLIN CORNHILL LONDON’ and stamped with London proofs and I H barrel smith mark, barrel and tang cut with a shallow sighting groove the latter decorated with stands of arms, signed border engraved lock, full stocked in walnut with raised floral moulding around the tang and lock, untouched silver mounts comprising foliate side-plate and escutcheon, grotesque mask butt-cap stamped in the mouth with Jerimiah Ashleys silver mark, trigger guard decorated with a flower head on the bow and a foliate finial, stamped with Jerimiah Ashleys silver marks and date letter G, turned ramrod pipes, with a horn tipped ramrod. Hall marked 1782
