11” overall, 5 ½” round barrel with engraved small section at breach, large barleycorn foresight, clearing rod to right hand side, engraved six shot cylinder with loading gate to right hand side, engraved frame and trigger guard spurred hammer. Chequered walnut two piece grips with lanyard ring. It also has a pin guard around the breech and behind the cylinders.
Circa 1870
Very good condition with nearly all original blue, in perfect mechanical condition.
Reputed to be a gift to an Irish inspector of police who was moving from Dublin to Belfast in the 1870’s.
