A fine Pair of Flintlock Brass Pistols by Nicholson of London. 12” overall, 6” two stage octagonal to round barrels, London proofs. Ramrods to the underside, one with worm, border engraved box-lock actions signed '45 Cornhill LONDON' within a ribbon, and to the left 'NICHOLSON' . Ring necked cocks,sliding thumb piece safety catches that also lock the pans, figured walnut butts with brass long eared butt caps, silver shield shaped escutcheons and steel trigger guards.
