44” overall, 37” Prosser style blade with hatchet point, etched with a maker's panel for ‘Hamburger, Rogers & Co’, regulation brass hilt with D-shaped knuckle guard supported by three scrolling side bars, the stool decorated with a flaming grenade, ornate stepped pommel, wire bound fish skin grip. Contained in its brass mounted steel scabbard.
Circa 1835-40.
A very hard to find sword in very good condition.
