An 1827 Pattern Victorian Admirals Naval Sword with Claymore Blade. 36 ½” overall, 30 ½” straight blade with twin fullers, etched with Crowned fouled anchor, Royal Coat of Arms, with scrolling foliage & ‘Fraser & Davis High Street Portsmouth’ to one side, the other with proof mark to forte. Solid gilt half basket hilt with Crowned fouled anchor, folding side guard, lion’s head pommel with long mane. White fish skin grip with twisted gilt wire. In its original gilt brass & black leather scabbard with Admirals oak leaf and acorn banded mounts with bullion sword knot.
