A Rare 1804 Pattern Naval Cutlass Scabbard & Cross Belt. 34” overall, 29” broad tapering blade. Blackened iron hilt with figure of eight guard, ribbed iron grip. Original tooled leather scabbard, with its original leather frog and cross belt.
Circa1804
Cutlass in good condition, most original back paint, scabbard tip damaged, cross belt in poor aged condition. Now quite hard to find examples of this pattern, cutlass scabbards of this age are exceedingly rare and the cross belt an unheard of survivor.
