An Unusual 1788 Light Cavalry Troopers Sword by Woolley.

40” overall, 34 ½” curved blade with three narrow fullers engraved ‘Woolley ’ on the back edge. Steel stirrup hilt with long double bar langets, ribbed wooden grip with fish skin cover, iron backstrap and flat topped pommel. In its original steel and black leather scabbard engraved ‘Wooley & Co’, with loop for a frog. Circa 1790
A rare sword in good condition. Some pitting to scabbard mounts. A variation of this sword that I have not seen before.
