A 1908 Pattern Indian Cavalry Troopers Sword. 42 ½” overall, 35” straight, narrow single edged blade with fullers, stamped at the forte with ‘Wilkinson Sword Ltd London’ and crossed swords trademark. With pin retained washer. Steel bowl guard, without steel reinforcing piece, shaped walnut diced grips. Steel scabbard stamped ‘18’ with fixed suspension rings either side.
Dated 1918.
Less common variation of the 1908 sword made with a smaller and lighter hilt and grip introduced in 1918.
