
An 1892 Pattern Household Cavalry Troopers Sword. 40 ½” overall, 34” 1890 pattern slightly curved blade, stamped on one side with the original acceptance & inspection marks, the other with annual inspection marks from 1896 through to 1922. Steel bowl guard with scroll design incorporating ‘HC’ under St. Edwards Crown, stamped ‘RHG 392’. Was probably original 1888 pattern but with four apertures filled in & polished to conform to 1892 specification (one now missing). Domed pommel, triple German silver wire bound fish skin grip. Contained in its plated steel scabbard with two bands, fixed upper & loose lower rings.

Royal Horse Guards Sword in very good condition, never seen an example with so many inspectors stamps.
