   A Rare 1822 Pattern Officers Sword of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. 40 ¼” overall, 35 ½” pipe backed blade, double edged towards the point the crowned William IV cypher to both sides of the blade. Gilt brass 'gothic' hilt applied in silver with the Prince of Wales feather above the motto 'Ich Dien' in an oval, wire bound fish skin covered grip.

A rare sword fewer than 10 known to survive , in good condition, lacks scabbard. Probably made by Prosser.
