A Fine Victorian General’s Mamaluke Pattern 1831 Sword.

37” overall, 31 ½” slightly curved flat blade etched with crown VR, crossed swords & Prince of Wales feathers to one side, the other side with crown VR & ‘C Smith & Son New Burlington St. London’. Gilt hilt with General’s badge, ivory scales to grip retained with gilt studs, with bullion sword knot. In its original gilt brass polished scabbard.
Circa 1871-1899

Sword in very good condition, well etched.
