37 ½” overall, 30” flattened diamond section rapier blade incised ‘EN TOLEDO’ to either side in the short central fuller. Double shell guard with moulded edge, quillon bloc en suite, stirrup knucklebow with indistinct Hall Mark: Crown over a quartered shield. Baluster round pommel and quillon terminal. Grip of double twisted silver wire and silver Turks heads.
Circa 1750.
Fine robust sword in good condition, weight 21 ounces.
