A Heavy Cavalry Officers Dress Sword 1796 Pattern.

39" overall 32" straight double edged blade with spear point. Gilt boat shaped guard with knucklebow and straight quillon, urn shaped finial with twisted silver wire grip. In its original steel scabbard with two suspension rings.

Circa 1800

In good tight condition, some gilt reaming, scabbard undented.
