43” overall, 36 ¼” flat back sword blade stamped ‘LANGRE’, with correct chisel point. Regulation half basket brass hilt with D-shaped knuckle guard & scrolling ribbon side bar incorporating a Roman fasces surmounted by a Liberty or Phrygian cap. Pommel cap drilled with a hole for a sword knot, stamped ‘HUSSIRUE’ and with various inspector's stamps, double brass wire bound leather covered grip.
