A French 1837 Naval Officers Sword.

33 ½” overall, 28 ½” straight blade with two fullers ‘Coulaux & Cie a Klingenthal’ engraved on the back edge. Single shell guard pierced with foliage and naval motifs, domed pommel and shell decorated back strap. Black horn grip. In its original brass and black leather scabbard with an anchor on the locket.
Circa 1840
Sword and scabbard in good condition. Lacking twisted wire on grip.
