38" overall, 32" pipeback blade with spear point. Etched on both sides with scrolling forage and EIC rampant Lion, and ‘A.D Welch 134 Leadenhall St. London’. Gilt brass hilt with folding guard and EIC lion in oval panel with stepped pommel & acanthus backstrap. Black fish skin grip with three strands of gilt wire. In its brown leather gilt mounted scabbard with frog button and two suspension rings.
