A 1st Life Guards Officers State Sword 1834 Pattern by Andrews. 39” overall, 33 ½” blade etched with a small panel of scrolling foliage and ‘Andrews’ on the forte and a maker's panel ‘Andrews 9 Pall Mall’ on the back edge of the blade, wide single fuller with a spear point. Regulation pierced steel hilt decorated with 12 brass studs and applied with the regimental device, wire bound fish skin grip. Contained in its brass mounted plated steel scabbard.
